Thermolytic groups structurally related to well-studied heat-sensitive phosphate/thiophosphate protecting groups have been evaluated for 5'-hydroxyl protection of deoxyribonucleosides as carbonates and for potential use in solid-phase oligonucleotide synthesis. The spatial arrangement of selected functional groups forming an asymmetric nucleosidic 5'-O-carbonic acid ester has been designed to enable heat-induced cyclodecarbonation reactions, which would result in the release of carbon dioxide and the generation of a nucleosidic 5'-hydroxyl group. The nucleosidic 5'-O-carbonates 3-8, 10-15, and 19-21 were prepared and were isolated in yields ranging from 45 to 83%. Thermolytic deprotection of these carbonates is preferably performed in aqueous organic solvent at 90 degrees C under near neutral conditions. The rates of carbonate deprotection are dependent on the nucleophilicity of the functional group involved in the postulated cyclodecarbonation reaction and on solvent polarity. Deprotection kinetics increase according to the following order: 4 < 5 < 10 < 6 < 12 < 7 < 13 < 8 < 14 congruent with 19-21 and CCl4 < dioxane < MeCN < t-BuOH < MeCN:phosphate buffer (3:1 v/v, pH 7.0) < EtOH:phosphate buffer (1:1 v/v, pH 7.0). Complete thermolytic deprotection of carbonates 7, 8, 13, and 14 is achieved within 20 min to 2 h under optimal conditions in phosphate buffer-MeCN. The 2-(2-pyridyl)amino-1-phenylethyl and 2-[N-methyl-N-(2-pyridyl)]aminoethyl groups are particularly promising for 5'-hydroxyl protection of deoxyribonucleosides as thermolytic carbonates.  相似文献

Pt on mesostructured CeO(2) nanoparticles embedded within ultrathin layers of highly structured SiO(2) binder shows highest activity reported with 80% selectivity for the chemoselective hydrogenation of crotonaldehyde. Characterization by transmission electron microscopy (TEM), CO adsorption, and X-ray photoelectron spectroscopy (XPS) show the presence of small Pt metal particles, preferentially located on CeO(2) (70%) together with the formation of Pt-CeO(2-x) sites at the interface between Pt and CeO(2) (4 nm) nanoparticles. These sites are able to polarize the carbonyl group and facilitate the selective hydrogenation of this with respect to the double bond.  相似文献

Several properties of propagating fronts of addition polymerization were studied. A power function could be fit to the velocity dependence on initiator concentration, but not with the exponents predicted by current models or in agreement with other published work. Bubbles from the volatile by-products of initiator decomposition were found to affect the front velocity and curvature. The front velocity for triethylene glycol dimethacrylate polymerization was found to depend linearly on temperature over a moderate range. The conversion of methacrylic acid in fronts varied greatly with initiator type and concentration. Benzoyl peroxide produced much lower conversion than t-butyl peroxide, but fronts with tBPO propagated slower. A dual initiator system of BPO and tBPO produced rapidly propagating fronts with good conversion but the contribution of each initiator to the velocity was not additive. The possibility of chain branching was considered. The apparent molecular weight distributions were very broad, often trimodal, and found to depend on initiator type and concentration as well as the tube diameter. The temperature profiles were measured and found to be very sharp for BPO and broader for tBPO but both had front temperatures in excess of 200°C, indicating a high ceiling temperature. © 1995 John Wiley & Sons, Inc.  相似文献

The influence of thermal fluctuations on the dynamics of interfacial electron transfer in sensitized TiO2-anatase semiconductors is investigated by combining ab initio DFT molecular dynamics simulations and quantum dynamics propagation of transient electronic excitations. It is shown that thermal nuclear fluctuations speed up the underlying interfacial electron transfer dynamics by introducing nonadiabatic transitions between electron acceptor states, localized in the vicinity of the photoexcited adsorbate, and delocalized states extended throughout the semiconductor material, creating additional relaxation pathways for carrier diffusion. Furthermore, it is shown that room-temperature thermal fluctuations reduce the anisotropic character of charge diffusion along different directions in the anatase crystal and make similar the rates for electron injection from adsorbate states of different character. The reported results are particularly relevant to the understanding of temperature effects on surface charge separation mechanisms in molecular-based photo-optic devices.  相似文献

The complexation behavior, binding properties, and spectral parameters of supramolecular chirality induction in the achiral host molecule, syn (face-to-face conformation) ethane-bridged bis(zinc porphyrin), upon interaction with chiral bidentate guests (diamines and amino alcohols) have been studied by means of UV-vis, CD, fluorescence, (1)H NMR, and ESI MS techniques. It was found that the guest structure plays a decisive role in the chirogenesis pathway. The majority of bidentate ligands (except those geometrically unsuitable) exhibit two major equilibria steps: the first guest ligation leading to formation of the 1:1 host-guest tweezer structure (K(1)) and the second guest molecule ligation (K(2)) forming the anti bis-ligated species (1:2). The second ligation is much weaker (K(1) > K(2)) due to the optimal geometry and stability of the 1:1 tweezer complex. The enhanced conformational stability of the tweezer complex ensures an efficient chirality transfer from the chiral guest to the achiral host, consequently inducing a remarkably high optical activity in the bis-porphyrin.  相似文献

Zinc and lead can be separated from Cd, Bi(III), In and V(V) by eluting these elements with 0.2M hydrochloric acid in 60% acetone from a column of AG50W-X8 cation-exchange resin, zinc and lead being retained. Mercury(II), Tl(III), As(III), Au(III), Sn(IV), Mo(VI), W(VI) and the platinum metals have not been investigated quantitatively, but from their distribution coefficients, should also be eluted. Vanadium(V), Mo(VI) and W(VI) require the presence of hydrogen peroxide. Zinc and lead can be eluted with 0.5M hydrochloric acid in 60% acetone or 0.5M hydrobromic acid in 65% acetone and determined by AAS; the alkali and alkaline-earth metal ions, Mn(II), Co, Ni, Cu(II), Fe(III), Al, Ga, Cr(III), Ti(IV), Zr, Hf, Th, Sc, Y, La and the lanthanides are retained on the column, except for a small fraction of copper eluted with zinc and lead. Separations are sharp and quantitative. The method has successfully been applied to determination of zinc and lead in three silicate rocks and a sediment.  相似文献

The model of the planar restricted problem of three bodies is used to evaluate the stability of the inner planets of planetary systems with arbitrary mass ratios. A quantitative measure of stability is introduced by finding the difference between the critical value of the Jacobian constant (at which bifurcation may occur) and the value of the Jacobian constant that corresponds to planetary type orbits. Hill's definition of stability is used according to which inner planetary orbits are stable if they are bounded in a region enclosing only the larger primary. For small values of the massparameter (<10–3) the maximum value of the dimensionless radius of the orbit for Hill-stability is given by 1–2.4 µ1/3.
Zusammenfassung Die Stabilität von inneren Planetensystemen mit beliebigen Massenverhältnissen wird am Modell des ebenen restringierten Dreikörperproblems untersucht. Aufgrund der Differenz zwischen dem kritischen Wert der Jacobi-Konstanten (wo Bifurkation eintreten kann) und dem einer Planetenbahn entsprechenden Wert wird ein quantitatives Stabilitätsmass eingeführt. Dabei wird die Hillsche Stabilitätsdefinition verwendet, d.h. eine innere Planetenbahn heisst stabil, wenn sie ein nur den grösseren Zentralkörper enthaltendes Gebiet nicht verlassen kann. Für klein Werte des Massenparameters (<10–3) beträgt der maximale (dimensionslose) Radius einer Hill-stabilen Planetenbahn 1–2.4 µ1/3.

Development of sustainable bio-based materials for removal of toxic contaminants from water is a high priority goal. Novel bio-based binary and ternary copolymers with enhanced ion-exchange, adsorption and antibacterial properties were obtained by using plant biomass-derived diallyl esters of furandicarboxylic acid (FDCA) as crosslinking agents and easily available vinyl monomers. The synthesized copolymer materials showed higher sorption capacities for NiII, CoII and CuII compared to the commercial ion-exchange resins, and they maintained their high metal adsorption capacities for over 10 cycles of regeneration. The synthesized copolymer gels containing 1–5 wt % of the crosslinker showed excellent water absorption capacities. The synthesized copolymers with 1 % crosslinker content showed swelling ratios high enough to also act as moisture absorbents. Synthesized copolymers with crosslinker content of 10 wt % performed as contact-active antibacterials by inhibiting the growth of Gram-positive (S. aureus) and Gram-negative bacteria (E. coli, K. pneumonia) in suspension tests.  相似文献
